Cycle 2 Week 9
Reflecting on class today I learn that when Ms.Douglas was outside with salaam they drew a line where the building was. Also sundial that was at 10:10. But when Umoja was outside the stick was different place than Salaam was at. Also were the car shadow was different. Also the line were the building was. The shadow was going backwards.
The purpose of a sundial is a clock that uses the position of the Sun to indicate the time.
The sundial works by the sun casts a shadow on a triangular pointer called a gnomon.
What I learn from today's class is that using that plate and stick you can tell where the shadow is and the earth rotation.
What helps a sundail is position of the Sun in the sky. They used sundials
You can tell the time by looking at the shadow cast by the Sun as it shines on the pointer of a sundial. The proper name for the pointer is a gnomon

Technology helped you as a student because it helps by using the usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, and crafts, or is systems or methods of organization, or is a material product of these things.
How I did is good because I did all the blogs on time and comment on teammates to make it better for them and my self.
What I did you do well is did my blog on time and comment two teammates on time.
What could I have done better is anything because I did everything on time.
What would I like to do with blogging in the future is two write about your team sports and write every week there wins and loses.
Technology helped me as a student because he help me type faster and think about questions and use your English skills.

Cycle 2 Week 6
Some of the careers engineers are involved in is Audio engineer, environmental engineer and more. The career that I would like to do is computer engineer. I would want to do it because is a discipline that combines both electrical or electronic engineering and computer science. Also when i read the passage it says Computer Engineering is the design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of computers and computer controlled equipment for the benefit of humankind. This is i pod,mp3's,cellphones,and etc. I wont to learn how to make. It seem cool!!!!!!!!
Engineers have influenced the world because work to develop economic and safe solutions to practical problems, by applying mathematics, scientific knowledge and ingenuity while considering technical constraints. I would use the engineering I learned by thinking in the future. Also think what you going to do before you do it.

Week 5- blogging in schools
Schools are using blogging in many different ways. For example in Mr Brovont's he use blogging for Link for practice,Chapter 5 Quiz,Chapter 4 Vocab Definitions,Chapter 4 Test,Groundwater Web quest,Computer Lab link,Computer Lab Activity, and,Additional Info many more. Ideas I found for using blogging in class is like take tests of quizzes and do homework in class.Ideas I have for using blogging in schools is like calenders, school trips and plans during the school year.

Cycle 2 Week 5-my blogging
Technology we use in school influenced me because it help me prepare me for high school and college. Technology is the usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, and crafts, or is systems or methods of organization. It helps you type faster and think deep for the question so you can answer it.
Blogging improve my typing because teammates help us correct us. When you comment teammates you learn from them and they learn from you. It brings into a more desirable or excellent condition in your writing.
Blogging helps you in the NJASK by writing paragrahs for each blog. And also it helps you by you comment on teammates and they help you by commenting on you if you did a good job or not.The NJ ASK test is based on the New Jersey state standards, which define what students should be learning each year. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level on the NJ ASK exam.
Technology connected to others by email, gmail and igoogle. With technology you connect with others so they help you or you help them. Or just to chat with them for fun.You can have a informal conversation . talking to other people who are using the Internet at the same time you are.

Cycle 2 Week 4
The title of my video is Science Magic Part 1 Vanishing Water. The video about demonstration to used to confuse you and spark the interest of all my students. He place clear cups and put a clear polyatomic in one cup and did the same thing and you can see how he did it. In the video it showed how he moved the three cups in motion and the water was not there in either on. This shows that it confused you. And made you thinking. Where did the cup of water go? The science that was included was the water is real and the science is real... in the last cup is a chemical called sodium polyatomic (it's the same chemical used in diapers) that absorbs liquids. In the movie at the end it shows he place clear cups and put a clear polyatomic in one cup and did the same thing and you can see how he did it. This reminds me of a card trick. What I learn from this video is you couldn't really tell how the trick was made, but at the end he showed it better with clear cups. I learn that the polyatomic (it's the same chemical used in diapers). In the video he demonstrated twice to see how there was no water in neither of the three cups. This reminds me of a movie.

Cycle 2 Week 3
What I learn from reading this passage is reduce, reuse, and recycle. In the passage it states use last year's school supplies, buy a canvas and cardboard binders instead of plastic, and buy recycled paper. This shows that you should recycle things and reuse them. This relates to me because instead of wasting paper I use front and back. This reminds me of my friend recycles bottles to help the world out to become a better place.

My game name will be called Safe The World. In the main menu you can choose a boy or a girl. The challenges the students face are you have clean the oceans or lake,no trash on floor and a safe world. The tools that would students use to overcome these challenges are they have to learn how you can save the world. For example, the ways how you saving the world. This game makes it fun because you have learn the ways you are saving the world and how you can do the same thing for having a good world.

Week 1
The games am playing is madden 10 on the X-box 360. You feel the emotion and suspense of the NFL. Like never before as referees pull players off a fumble pile. The chain gang rushes onto the field to measure for a key first down.
The goal of madden 10 is to try to stay on the top of the NFL to win the championship. What I learn about playing the game lots of stratagy's. For example on that I use a lot is confidence. I feel or sometimes consciousness of one's powers or of reliance on one's circumstances.
Madden 10 can be used educationally by feeling confidence, play smart, have fun, believe in your-self. What I learn is by doing all these things I went undefeated and won the championship.

Week 6
Yes my response we correct. I use resources for each blog to back up my answer. For ever week I took my time to do my blog and use resources to help me.
The blog that was the best is week 5. The week 5 blog showed use three things to remember. One, If you want to be successful with a team you have to work together, listen, and ever one has to help each other to wake the work successful. Three, there is no I in team.
What I can do in the next cycle of blogs to improve the writing is use more resources to help me prove my point.

Week5_Prompt#1
Increase in volume of a material as its temperature is increased, usually expressed as a fractional change in dimensions per unit temperature change. When the material is a solid, thermal expansion is usually described in terms of change in length, height, or thickness. If a crystalline solid has the same structural configuration throughout, the expansion will be uniform in all dimensions. Otherwise, there may be different expansion coefficients and the solid will change shape as the temperature increases.
If the material is a fluid, it is more useful to describe the expansion in terms of a change in volume. Because the bonding forces among atoms and molecules vary from material to material, expansion coefficients are characteristic of elements and compounds. In conclusion what happen is higher the temperature the lower the density.

Week 4-Winner Takes All
The problem the Design Squad fasts is the squad has to create a sled that goes down a hill on grass, the snow. The strategies they fast are trying different sleds. The squid use wood for seats. Also the squid use rollers to attach to the sled to go smooth. Also the squad attach wheels to the sled one on front and the other in the back. The squad work together by listening to each other and not yelling to each other. The squad learn from one another by working together and ever one had there part on building the sled. They support each other by listing and working hard.
I would approach the problem by getting a squid just like the blue team. What I learn about this is that always work together to be successful.
You can when win like a team if you work hard and listen and not yell to each other. You can win in a team like team blue did!

Week3_Prompt#2
When water evaporates (changes from a liquid to a gas), the air neat the water's surface becomes cooler because of the physical process of the evaporation of water it's an endothermic.
The necessary energy to break is the hydrogen bonds between water molecules in the liquid releasing them into the air is thermal energy taken from the liquid, cooling it.
It will come from both the surface layer of the water and the air close to the water's surface. When its energy reaches a certain level it becomes gas and leaves the liquid and with it some of the heat energy leaves the liquid.

Week2_Prompt#2
Did you that fifty percent of the electricity in the U.S is produced by burning coal. The mechanical energy is provided by steam which turns this is connected to the magnet or coil to make it spin. The steam is produced by water being super heated, that's thermal energy.
Coal is a rock that was formed by compressed plants that died millions of years ago. Energy from those plants was stored in the coal. And plants get their energy directly from the sun.Light from the sun to produce sugar from carbon dioxide and water in a process called photosynthesis.
What I learn about in trace electrical energy back to the sun, is that every time one form of energy is converted into another some of it is lost as heat.
We can also convert the light from the sun directly into electricity.

Week1_Prompt#2
When I bounce the ball up its potential energy. When the ball drops its kinetic energy.
The moment it hits the ground potential energy becomes nathing. The ball bounces when it is stopped by your hands, when you let it go.When the basketball is in your hand, before it is dropped, it has full potential energy. Once that basketball is released from your hands, the potential energy is going to convert to kinetic energy.
What I learn about the kinetic-potential energy conversions that occur when a basketball bounce is alot.
Then the ball reaches your hand and all of the energy is back to potential energy. This cycle continues over and over again. Some of the energy that you bounce the basketball is transferred into sound energy.

technology in science
Technology is the use of scientific knowledge to solve practical problems, especially in industry and commerce. Science for me is a subject that can help me eversingle day. Also, study of things which exists around us, whose theories and facts have a proof of its own is referred as science.
